There is no sugarcoating this time of year. While contenders sharpen their résumés for March, others are just trying to stop the bleeding. Whether it is long losing streaks, winless conference records or defensive numbers that refuse to improve, the bottom tier of college basketball has become a weekly reshuffle of frustration.
Here is the updated bottom 10 in college basketball:
356. Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (5-20)
Oral Roberts remains winless in Summit League play at 0-10, and Thursday’s home game against Kansas City looms as a critical opportunity. The Golden Eagles are coming off back-to-back double-digit losses to close a three-game road trip. With five regular season games left and three at home, there is still time to avoid finishing without a league win. But the margin is disappearing quickly.
357. Air Force Falcons (3-21)
Air Force has not won since November 23. That day they moved to 3-4. Since then, it has been 17 straight losses. Seven of those defeats have come by double digits. In their most recent outing, Colorado State scored 91 points in another lopsided result. Road games at Fresno State and New Mexico are next, and nothing about the recent form suggests relief is coming.
358. UL Monroe Warhawks (4-21)
A narrow road win at Old Dominion briefly offered hope, but losses to Ball State and a 33-point setback against Arkansas State erased any momentum. UL Monroe sits at the bottom of the Sun Belt standings, three games behind the next team. Five regular-season games remain, beginning with a trip to Texas State.
359. Binghamton Bearcats (5-20)
After a three-point win over Bryant, Binghamton has dropped two straight and slid further down the rankings. Jeremiah Quigley leads the team at 13.8 points per game, but defense has been the core issue. The Bearcats allow 75.3 points per game while scoring just 66.8. Home games against Vermont and Albany will test whether they can stabilize.
360. Coppin State Eagles (4-21)
Coppin State snapped a six-game losing streak with an 18-point win over Delaware State, only their fourth victory of the season. The Eagles are now 2-6 in MEAC play and have six games remaining. Road trips to NC Central and South Carolina State will determine if that recent spark was real or fleeting.
361. Delaware State Hornets (6-17)
Six wins are not always enough to stay clear of this list. Only three of Delaware State’s victories have come against Division I opponents, and the Hornets have just one win since the calendar turned to 2026. A road test at Norfolk State precedes a home date with Howard. Consistency has been elusive.
362. Rider Broncs (3-21)
Rider sits at the bottom of the MAAC with two league wins. Back-to-back losses after a win over Saint Peter’s stalled any upward movement. Mount St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart are next on the schedule, and the Broncs remain within a game of Canisius and Niagara in the standings. The window to climb is still open, but barely.
363. Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs (3-22)
Gardner-Webb has dropped three straight and owns just one Big South win. The timing could not be worse. Winthrop and High Point, the top two teams in the league with a combined 40-12 record, are up next. A turnaround would require a dramatic shift in form.
364. Kansas City Roos (4-20)
Kansas City has lost eight straight since a road win at Omaha. The Roos have been competitive at times, including a seven-point loss to South Dakota, but the results have not followed. A pivotal matchup at Oral Roberts arrives Thursday before hosting St. Thomas on Saturday.
365. Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (1-23)
Mississippi Valley State remains anchored at the bottom. The Delta Devils have lost 22 straight and are still searching for a SWAC victory. An eight-point loss to Alcorn State was at least competitive, but the record speaks for itself. Upcoming games at Alabama A&M and Alabama State provide the next opportunities to finally break through.
Dropped from the rankings
- Chicago State Cougars (5-19)
- South Carolina State Bulldogs (6-17)
- Western Illinois Leathernecks (5-21)
Others in consideration
- Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles (5-19)
- Alcorn State Braves (5-18)
- UTSA Roadrunners (4-19)
The bottom 10 is not a label any program wants attached to its season. Right now, these teams have shown little to suggest a dramatic turnaround is imminent. But with conference play still ongoing, even one well-timed win can begin to shift the narrative.
