6. PJ Haggerty, Kansas State Wildcats
Haggerty’s scoring ability is undeniable, even if his game still comes with areas to refine. He is shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and close to 40 percent from three, but turnovers remain a concern. Still, his ability to score in bunches makes him one of the most dangerous guards in the Big 12. Kansas State’s ceiling may hinge on how consistently Haggerty balances scoring with decision-making.
5. Cameron Carr, Baylor Bears
Carr has been one of the season’s most pleasant surprises. After appearing in only four games last year, the sophomore has exploded for 21.4 points per game while shooting better than 42 percent from beyond the arc. He has scored in double figures in every game this season and has quickly become the focal point of Baylor’s offense. His emergence has significantly reshaped the Bears’ offensive identity.
