4. Cade Tyson, Minnesota Golden Gophers

Tyson has been electric for Minnesota and currently ranks fourth nationally in scoring at 22.6 points per game. The 6’7 guard combines volume with efficiency, shooting over 52 percent from the field and better than 40 percent from three. He rarely leaves the floor and has been especially dominant at home. Minnesota’s ability to compete in the Big Ten will largely depend on how far Tyson can carry them offensively.

3. Bruce Thornton, Ohio State Buckeyes

Thornton has quietly become one of the most efficient high-volume scorers in the country. The senior is averaging 21.8 points per game while shooting 60.2 percent from the field and 50 percent from three. He dropped 34 points in a loss to Illinois and followed it with 23 against West Virginia. His consistency and shot-making have been central to Ohio State’s strong offensive start.
