Schedule Outlook

The Bluejays certainly get a chance to gain their footing early in the season, as they’ll start with five straight games at home to open the year. After four extremely beatable mid-majors, they’ll get their battle with rival Nebraska on November 22nd, right before their first big trip of the season.

Creighton will then head to Las Vegas and take part in the first-ever Players Era Festival, a new event that will provide intriguing challenge over the holiday week. The Bluejays get a pair of recent NCAA Tournament rematches, as they’ll see San Diego State in their first game and Oregon a few days later, with an intriguing matchup against Texas A&M in the middle.

While there are only a few more nonconference games on the schedule, Creighton starts December with a pair of significant challenges. They’ll host Kansas on December 4th as part of the Big 12-Big East Battle before a slightly easier home date with UNLV that weekend. The final nonconference game is a tough road battle at Alabama on December 14th.

Big East play begins just a few days later with a very winnable road trip to Georgetown before a pair of home games. The Bluejays play every team in their league twice, but could get off to a hot start with that schedule. The first major challenge is a trip to Marquette on January 3rd.

They’ll face reigning champion Connecticut on the road on January 18th before a return game in Omaha four weeks later. Another game of note is the Pink Out Game against Seton Hall on January 25th, while Senior Night and the final home game comes March 8th against Butler.
