For the first time in UConn men's basketball history, the Huskies defeated the Creighton Bluejays on their home court in Omaha, NE. Afterwards, the Huskies' head coach Dan Hurley couldn't hold back when he had the opportunity to taunt Bluejay fans.
While he was walking off the court, Hurley turned towards the home crowd and began saying "bye, bye" and then, the UConn head coach took it a step further.
Hurley held up the number two and then pointed to his ring finger, signifying his NCAA Championship count since taking over the Huskies program in 2018 and flexing the fact that he has already led UConn to two National titles while the Bluejays have yet to capture their first one in program history.

"Two rings!" Hurley said. "Two rings!"
Despite UConn dropping out of the Top 25 this season as the Huskies have struggled to find their footing, Hurley took the opportunity to flex his team's back-to-back National titles.
The Huskies have six National titles to their name, all since 1999, but the consecutive March Madness rings are truly incredible. Hurley and the Huskies have dominated men's college basketball since he took over the program just six seasons ago and the win over No. 24 Creighton set them in the right direction once again after starting conference play with an 8-4 record.
Now, UConn sits at 9-4 in Big East matchups and is currently 4th in the conference standings. The win over the Bluejays, who are now 11-3 in conference play and 2nd in the Big East, was a big-time victory for the Huskies as the conference tournament rapidly approaches.
The Huskies won the previous Big East conference tournament when they defeated the Marquette Golden Eagles in a resounding 73-57 victory. UConn has eight conference championships throughout its time in the Big East, Creighton has zero.
Hurley's ring flexing may have left a bad taste in the mouths of some collegiate basketball fans but the Huskies are now back on track to do exactly what they've done over the last two seasons: Win it all.
