The Green Bay Phoenix picked up their first win in 89 days and fourth of the season in a 79-68 victory over Wright State on Sunday. Green Bay head coach Doug Gottlieb, who has been a popular topic of discussion for bad reason, put out a post on X Monday evening that I personally found very funny and will once again have people talking.

Through some quick research one would find that Green Bay only has four games remaining on their schedule. So where could Gottlieb have come up with this number of 15?

Well, it appears he sees his team making a deep run in March and even playing for a chance to lift a trophy in San Antonio.

With some quick high level math we can find that if you add the four games remaining in the regular season to the four games Green Bay would need to win the Horizon League tournament, earning an automatic bid to March Madness, we get to eight. Then with adding seven to that, which would put the Phoenix in the National Championship game, we get to Gottlieb’s magic number of 15. Props to the former CBS college basketball analyst for at least acknowledging that his team would need to win an extra game compared to most in the NCAA Tournament as they would find themselves in Dayton for the First Four.

From hosting a daily radio show while leading a team to a 4-24 record, to getting absolutely dunked on by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, to losing to a D2 team he referred to as "Nobody U", to NBA superstar LeBron James taking note of a disastrous season, Gottlieb has been taking it on the shins all year long.

For the first time this season though I will give Doug some credit for putting out a very funny post that he definitely thought of with a chuckle.
