There have been two main recruitments in the 2025 NCAA Basketball recruiting class. One is AJ Dybantsa, the consensus No. 1 overall prospect in the class who has a top-7 list to choose from. The other is a package deal with Cameron Boozer, the consensus No. 2 prospect in the class, and brother Cayden Boozer, who is a top-30 prospect and a 5-star point guard in his own right.

Cameron and Cayden are the sons of former Duke Basketball great Carlos Boozer, one of the best bigs for the program in modern memory. The Blue Devils were expected to be a favorite to land both of them but as residents of Miami, Florida, two local teams were also in the mix.

Miami and Florida were selling the brothers the chance to not only stay close to home but also be the clear focal points of the offense, instead of playing with other 5-star talents at Duke. But in the end, it stays in the family, as the Blue Devils landed both Boozers.

These were the first commitments in the 2025 class for Duke. For Cameron, he's the clear replacement for No. 1 freshman Cooper Flagg at the power forward position. For Cayden, it may be more complicated. Junior guard Tyrese Proctor very well could go pro after this season, along with sophomore breakout candidate, Caleb Foster. But the team is also in play for top-30 PG prospect Adaden Lewis.

Time will tell who else the Blue Devils land in the coming weeks. Besides Lewis, the team is reportedly after 5-star wing targets, Nate Ament and Shelton Henderson. Since neither of the Boozers are wings, this shouldn't have any negative affect on their respective recruitments and Duke's chances of landing them.

But for now, Duke Basketball can celebrate landing a double-commitment, hoping to get more star performers out of someone wearing a Boozer jersey.
