The country of Croatia is an emerging basketball power in Europe, boasting numerous talented young prospects capable of playing at high levels. One of their better young players is Ivan Bogdanovic, a 6’8 wing/forward who is a quality scorer and pure shooter.

According to PDTScouting, Bogdanovic is still a candidate to come overseas and play college basketball next season. There are a few reported options in the mix to land him. Here’s a look at how he’d fit with each potential team.

Gonzaga Bulldogs

Gonzaga’s wing situation includes junior Emmanuel Innocenti, Grand Canyon transfer Tyon Grant-Foster, and Steele Venters. With Grant-Foster not cleared yet by the NCAA, and Venters having missed the last two years with injuries, having Bogdanovic would be good insurance on the roster in case depth becomes and issue.

Louisville Cardinals

Louisville is good on the wings with senior transfers, Ryan Conwell and Isaac McKneely. But there’s not much depth on the wing outside of rising sophomore, Khani Rooths. He may end up toward the back of the rotation, but Bogdanovic could find minutes at this spot, playing for a top-10 caliber roster.

Michigan State Spartans

The Spartans received bad news this offseason with FAU transfer forward Kaleb Glenn suffering a season-ending injury, which hurts their depth on the wings. That leaves Coen Carr and a pair of four-star freshman forwards in Cam Ward and Jordan Scott. It’s a situation where Bogdanovic could get minutes, and his shooting would be a nice addition to the roster.

Texas A&M Aggies

New Coach Bucky McMillian has landed several notable wings this offseason at that position, including Mackenzie Mgbako (Indiana), Rylan Griffen (Kansas), and Rashaun Agee (USC). They also landed Ruben Dominguez, a 6’6 wing from Spain who is a quality international prospect. Assuming he gets cleared, it’s hard to see Bogdanovic finding a spot in the rotation.
