Likely returnees
- Andrej Stojakovic (13.5 ppg and 4.5 rpg)

Roster additions
- Stefan Vaaks (15.8 ppg and 3.2 apg at Providence)
- Quentin Coleman (4-star guard prospect)
Replacing Wagler, one of college basketball’s top freshmen from last season, will be tough. But Vaaks, who was stellar in his own right with the Friars, including shooting 35% from deep on over eight attempts a game, should thrive with the Illini. They also managed to land Coleman, a former Wake Forest commit, before parting ways this offseason, adding to the backcourt depth.
The frontcourt is already set, with most key pieces returning. The Ivisic brothers are back, along with Mirkovic, who should be one of the top power forwards in the nation. Stojakovic is an NBA Draft entrant, but it’s very likely he’s back too, giving the Illini one of the best starting lineups in the country and a real chance at repeat Final Four runs.
