The big news for the Gators has been with its frontcourt stars, with both Haugh and Condon announcing that they’re back for the 2026-27 campaign. Chinyelu, the reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Year winner, is going through the NBA Draft process, but it’s either that or Florida, with there being a real chance all three star bigs are back.

This means that Xaivian Lee is the only key piece gone, with SEC 6th Man of the Year Klavzar coming back alongside starting guard Fland. Lee’s replacement is set to be Aberdeen, who was on the national title-winning squad for Florida two seasons ago, and is coming off a big year at Kentucky with an extended role. However, he currently has no eligibility left and would need a waiver from the NCAA (or eventually the courts) to play next year. If it works out in their favor, Florida could be the team to beat.
