Gonzaga vs Indiana: 2024-25 Battle 4 Atlantis game preview, TV schedule
Indiana and Gonzaga are looking to bounce back after disappointing losses in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament.
TV schedule: Thursday, November 28th, 2:30 pm ET (approx). ESPN2

Entering the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament, the Gonzaga Bulldogs were viewed as a big favorite to win it all. The No. 3 team was definitely big favorites over West Virginia in the first-round matchup and was up 39-31 at halftime. A Mountaineer run made a single-possession game late, and after costly mistakes, the Bulldogs forced it into overtime.
In the end, Gonzaga wasn't able to prevent the upset, falling 86-78 in extra time. Braden Huff led the team with 19 points off the bench, while Khalif Battle (16) and Nolan Hickman (13) also were in double figures. In the end, giving up 11 three-pointers and losing the rebounding edge by six to a small roster proved to be their undoing.
Meanwhile, Indiana never really had a chance to win on Wednesday, trailing Louisville the entire game and falling by 30+ at one point in the second half. The final score was 89-61, with Malik Reneau being the only bright spot for the Hoosiers. We went for 21 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. As a team, Indiana shot just 33% from the field and gave up over 55% shooting to the Cardinals.
The big storyline of this matchup is at center, with Oumar Ballo facing his former team. Ballo was a star in Arizona for the past two years but hasn't had the same kind of impact to this point. On the other end, Graham Ike is coming off maybe his worst performance in a Zag uniform, producing five points on 1/6 FG in just 14 minutes.
Indiana will need Ballo and Reneau to have a good game to pull off the upset, with both teams' guards needing a bounce-back performance. While Gonzaga's loss was more shocking, Indiana's effort was more concerning. Look for the Bulldogs to get back in the win column.
Prediction: Gonzaga 80, Indiana 71
