North Carolina State Wolfpack - A
NC State just about nailed their offseason. After an unbelievable Final 4 run in the 2023-24 season they looked to build some momentum off of that. Sadly, it was quite the opposite, finishing the next season with a 12-19 record and missing the ACC Tournament. After this season, it was pretty clear that Kevin Keatts wasn't the guy for the job. Shortly after the season concluded, they decided to part ways with Keatts and were able to land one of the premier coaches in the sport, landing Will Wade from McNeese State.
Following the hiring of Will Wade he slowly started to build a roster after the Wolfpack lost all but 2 players to either the portal or graduation. He started by landing 2 high school commits in Zymicah Wilkins, a 6-8 Forward, and Matt Able, a 6-5 Guard, both finishing the recruiting cycle as 4 star recruits. Wade also picked up 2 foreign recruits in Paul Mbiya, a 6-10 Center from France, and Jayme Kontuniemi, a 6-4 Guard from Finland.
Wade got active in the portal early, picking up two players from his former school, McNeese St, picking up Alyn Breed, a 6-3 Guard, and Quadir Copeland, a 6-6 Guard/Forward. In the weeks following, Wade would pick up some very good pieces in Tre Holloman, a 6-2 Guard from Michigan State, and Colt Langdon, a 6-7 Forward from Butler. A couple of days following the Langdon commitment, he would pick up Commitments from Jerry Deng, a 6-9 Forward from FSU, and Terrance Arceneaux, a 6-6 Guard from Houston. After State fans thought the commitments had cooled down a bit, they would pick up a superstar forward from Texas Tech in Darrion Williams and a former UNC Center in Ven-Allen Lubin. With that being said, NC State's offseason was very good, and the Wolfpack are poised for a major bounce-back this upcoming season.
