Even with the ups and downs, losing Avdalas to the transfer portal after one year is a blow to the program. But keeping both Hansberry and Hammond was a key move, with a solid incoming portal class to surround them.
Elohim and Copeland are capable perimeter shooters, while Curry was effective at the Big 12 level and could be the starting guard. They weren’t able to replace Lawal with one person, but Hiede and Atak are fine in terms of frontcourt depth to pair with Hansberry.
The ceiling may not have changed much with this group, but Hansberry has a good case to be an all-league player, which would be good enough for another middle-tier finish in the ACC.
