Duke Blue Devils - Grade: A+

  • 2025-26 record: 35-3 (17-1)

Roster departures

  • Cameron Boozer (22.5 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 4.1 apg)
  • Maliq Brown (4.9 ppg and 5.2 rpg)
  • Isaiah Evans (15 ppg and 3.2 rpg)
  • Nikolas Khamenia (5.7 ppg and 3.3 rpg)

Roster returnees

  • Cayden Boozer (7.7 ppg and 3.0 apg)
  • Dame Sarr (6.4 ppg and 3.8 rpg)
  • Patrick Ngongba (10.1 ppg and 5.8 rpg)
  • Caleb Foster (8.3 ppg and 2.8 apg)
  • Sebastian Wilkins (redshirted)

Roster additions

  • John Blackwell (19.1 ppg and 5.1 rpg at Wisconsin)
  • Jacob Theodosiou (13.1 ppg and 2.7 apg at Loyola MD)
  • Drew Scharnowski (10.7 ppg and 6.0 rpg at Belmont)
  • Deron Rippey Jr. (5-star guard prospect)
  • Bryson Howard (5-star wing prospect)
  • Cameron Williams (5-star forward prospect)
  • Joaquim Boumte-Boumtje (5-star international forward prospect)

No program in the country has more resources than Duke, so the expectations are high for what they should be able to achieve. And even they lost pieces, with Cameron Boozer and Evans going pro, while Khamenia is the rare rotation player who opted to transfer out.

To make up for it, Duke landed Scharnowski, an all-league defender from the Missouri Valley, and Boumte-Boumtje, one of the top international prospects who many are high on. But the most important addition was Blackwell, one of the top guards in the portal this offseason.

Duke looks to be a top-5 team in the country and the favorite in all of ACC Basketball next year. When that happens, you can’t get a better grade.
