Coach Jai Lucas got an “A+” in his first full year with the Hurricanes on the court. And the momentum has clearly moved to the offseason, including keeping star freshman wing, Henderson. Both Allens are back as potential breakout stars to watch, too.
The portal moves filled all the holes on the roster, including some key names. Cyril was one of the top interior defenders in the portal, while Goode is a Horizon League Player of the Year who shot 57% from deep on 63 attempts. Lewis was a starter at Villanova as a freshman, with Dorn another floor spacer in the backcourt.
Assuming someone like Henderson is ready to be a focal point, Miami’s roster is nicely built around him, inside and out. The Hurricanes look ready to be a contender again, and not just in the ACC for next year.
