After a pair of underwhelming years with Coach Jerome Tang, Kansas State elected to hire Casey Alexander from Belmont. However, he wasn’t able to bring with him any of the key players from the Bruins with him, a sign of an underwhelming offseason campaign.

Rechsteiner and Schutt are the biggest names from the group, while Wheeler could be a breakout candidate after a good freshman year at Bradley. The other players were all role guys at their previous spots, and a couple of them need to be breakouts for them to be competitive.

Alexander is a respected head coach, and there’s some talent. However, on paper, there doesn’t look to be an all-league guy on the current roster. Look for there to be some real growing pains at Kansas State next year.
