Oklahoma had four key players last season. Two of them lost eligibility, while the other two, Brown and Reid, elected to return to the team. That’s big for the Sooners, but were they able to surround them with better talent?
Isaacs has had some ups and downs on the court throughout his college career, but is a double-digit caliber scorer at the SEC level. Rooths, a former top-100 prospect out of high school, could be a breakout candidate to watch after limited minutes at Louisville. Gak is a G Leaguer who could pop, while Wadley gives them depth in the backcourt.
There’s still not a ton of frontcourt depth outside of Reid, and there’s a concern that Brown will have to do too much with this core. Still, it’s competitive enough to have them in the postseason mix, needing one of the newcomers to break out to feel better about their March Madness odds.
