Losing Acuff to the NBA Draft was fully expected, but Thomas’ last-minute decision to leave and ultimately getting selected in the second round stings. Losing Wagner and Knox to the portal aren’t the biggest blows, since Richmond did return from the draft process himself.
Once again, the Razorbacks have a top-tier incoming recruiting class. Smith is viewed as the top guard prospect among the 2026 crew, while Toure and Muurinen are also big-name freshmen set to have a big impact. Wilkinson, one of the top scorers in the SEC last season, is a proven lead guard candidate set to be paired with Smith.
Not getting a proven center with college experience is a miss, while the loss of Thomas didn’t help. Still, it’s a roster that has top-10 potential with a high ceiling, assuming the freshmen class is as good as advertised.
