It’s truly a mixed bag for the Bulldogs, coming off two straight NCAA Tournament appearances. They return three double-digit scorers, including the backcourt duo of Cain and Millender. Catchings will have an even larger role in the offense after showing all-league flashes.
But Georgia also lost its two most important players. Wilkinson led them in scoring and was a big impact contributor from Cal. Yet he not only left the program to the portal, but he’s still in the SEC, now at Arkansas. And Cyril, one of the top interior defenders in the league, also left for Miami.
Dilione V will be able to replace some of Wilkinson’s production in the backcourt, while Scott and Osasuyi are solid bigs to add to the depth. Still, it’s hard to envision them being better compared to last year after losing those two key players.
