The men’s Final Four had plenty of expectations, with all four teams being No. 1 seeds. And somehow, the games on Saturday overachieved everything that could’ve possibly occurred. In the first game, Walter Clayton Jr. and Florida came back from nine down at halftime to get the 79-73 victory.

Duke and Houston followed up that thrilling game, as the Cougars were down by 14 at one point in the second half. Yet an even more miraculous comeback occurred, with Houston scoring 11 points in over a minute to pull off the 70-67 upset win. Now, two teams who were underdogs on Saturday are just 40 minutes away from winning it all.

Houston vs Florida Game Prediction

The MVP of this tournament by far has been Walter Clayton Jr., who, through five games, is averaging 24.6 ppg for Florida. He scored 34 points to beat Auburn and will be the best player in this matchup. However, LJ Cryer has been just as good, dropping 26 points to beat Duke, and is part of an elite backcourt that includes Milos Uzan and Emanuel Sharp.

Both teams are similar in that they can score a lot of points, defend at a high level, and make a ton of three-point shots. Plus, we know both teams can make a comeback if they’re down at any point in the game. The head coaching battle will be fun as well, as the younger Todd Golden has a chance to rise up the power rankings to being one of the best, whereas Coach Kelvin Sampson could be due for a national title to cement an already Hall of Fame legacy.

As we saw against Duke and Scheyer, Sampson’s experience could be the x-factor on Monday night. It should be a great game but in the end, look for Houston to pull out the win.

Prediction: Houston 77, Florida 73
