The Indiana Hoosiers finished 19-13 overall last season and missed the NCAA Tournament, resulting in a coaching change. In comes former WVU HC Darian DeVries, who not only has an entirely new roster but also a new scheduling format, taking much tougher teams.
The 2025-26 non-conference schedule for the Hoosiers has been released, featuring some notable opponents. Here’s a look at the top four confirmed games for Indiana outside of Big Ten play.

4. Kansas State Wildcats
After a poor past season, Kansas State is hoping its next transfer haul can make it competitive. The big splash signing was PJ Haggerty, a transfer from Memphis who averaged 21 ppg and earned AAC Player of the Year. Abdi Bashir Jr. averaged 20 ppg at Monmouth, while Nate Johnson was the MAC POY at Akron as a do-it-all guard. The frontcourt is still a question, but the Wildcats should at least have plenty of firepower on the perimeter.
3. Marquette Golden Eagles
It’s another offseason where the Eagles elected not to take any transfers from the portal. Still, Coach Shaka Smart will be expected to have someone emerge as the next star, replacing Kam Jones. Look for that guy to be Chase Ross, the top returning scorer on the roster.
2. Louisville Cardinals
Last season started the Pat Kelsey era at Louisville, and next year’s group could be even better. Forwards Kasean Pryor and Aly Khalifa are back after missing last season, while the team landed a pair of 15+ ppg scoring guard transfers in Ryan Conwell (Xavier) and Isaac McKneely (Virginia). If 5-star freshman PG Mikel Brown Jr. is as good as advertised, Louisville could be a Final Four contender.
1. Kentucky Wildcats
There were plenty of roster changes this offseason for the Wildcats but one player who’s back is Otega Oweh, who led the team with 16.2 ppg. Joining him in the new-look backcourt is Jaland Lowe, who averaged over 16 ppg at Pittsburgh, and Denzel Aberdeen, a key reserve piece on the title-winning Florida Gators. If ASU transfer center Jayden Quaintance is healthy by the second half of the season, Kentucky could be a team built to make a deep run in March.
