It’s been a very rough past couple of weeks for Indiana Basketball and Coach Mike Woodson. Entering the road matchup at Wisconsin, the Hoosiers had lost five of its last six games. That includes 25-point blowout losses to Iowa and Indiana, along with recent close defeats to both Maryland and Purdue.

At 5-6 in league play, the Hoosiers NCAA Tournament odds aren’t in a good place. In fact, Coach Woodson may be back on the hot seat after getting a vote of confidence last offseason. But the momentum has turned away from them, on track to lose yet another game, this time at Wisconsin.

Mike. Woodson.
The start to Tuesday night’s game was as bad as the team could’ve had, down 26-4 to start the game. It all came from the three-point line, with the Badgers making its first six shots, all coming from deep. They’re a good team in that category, ranking in the top-40 nationally in both makes and attempts. So that makes it even worse that the Hoosiers couldn’t defend that since it had to have been in the scout.
Mike Woodson might get fired at halftime. Indiana giving Wisconsin's shooters too much space on the perimeter.

It's 19-4 #Badgers five minutes into the game.
Fans and Big Ten observers have continued the piling on of the Hoosiers, as Woodson’s seat is the hottest it’s ever been. Yes, the Wisconsin Badgers are at home and are a top-25 team, so losing to them isn’t shameful. But it’s the way you can lose to teams that makes it hard to defend you.

Going down by 20 points just six minutes into the game is the worst possible outcome and even though they got the halftime deficit to just 14 (42-28), the early hole may prove to be too much to get out of.
We’ll see if the Indiana Hoosiers have a run in them, but for now, fans are starting to think even harder of who they may want to replace Mike Woodson next year.
