We’ve seen many players come from Europe to join college basketball for the 2025-26 season. However, there are still plenty more who could make the trip in the coming weeks, as there are still plenty of open roster spots throughout the D-I level.

One is Luka Skoric, a 6’9 sharpshooting wing prospect who has played in Croatia and other places. Already over 21, he’d be a veteran newcomer to the sport but could be an impact contributor with his size and shooting ability.

According to PDTScouting, there are at least three high-major programs reportedly interested in landing Skoric. Does any of them make sense? Here’s how he’d potentially fit with them.

Kansas Jayhawks

The wing position proved to be underwhelming a year ago for Kansas, so they’ve landed several new pieces. Transfers such as Melvin Council Jr. and Tre White aren’t elite shooters, while reclass freshman Kohl Rosario could get some minutes as well. The Jayhawks proved to be great for another international player in Johnny Furphy, but he didn’t have as much competition as Skoric would have to go through.

Pittsburgh Panthers

With Damian Dunn and Zack Austin gone, the wing position is up for grabs on the roster. South Alabama transfer Barry Dunning is likely to get minutes there in bigger lineups, while ISU transfer Nojus Indrusatis could also get some minutes. On paper, shooting is a massive concern with the Panthers roster, and that alone could allow Skoric to get minutes in the rotation.

West Virginia Mountaineers

New HC Russ Hodges has a completely new roster at WVU, including wing transfers, Chance Moore and Treysen Eaglestaff. Freshman Jayden Forsythe could get minutes out of the gate, but the concern would be that there aren’t too many Big 12-caliber players on the roster. While Skoric isn’t proven either, the Mountaineers would provide a more straightforward pathway for minutes compared to Kansas.
