When the NCAA Tournament reaches its final weekend, the voices on the broadcast often feel just as familiar as the teams on the floor.

For the third straight year, Ian Eagle will handle play-by-play for the Final Four alongside Bill Raftery and Grant Hill, with Tracy Wolfson reporting from the sidelines. That group will call both national semifinal games on April 4 and the national championship game on April 6 in Indianapolis.

By now, the trio has developed a strong rhythm together. Eagle keeps the game moving, Raftery brings the energy and his famous catchphrases, and Hill adds the perspective of someone who has been through the pressure of the biggest stage in college basketball.

For fans watching the final weekend of the tournament, those voices have quickly become part of the experience.

Plenty of familiar basketball names throughout the tournament

The first two weeks of the tournament will feature a deep roster of analysts and play-by-play announcers across CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV.

Former Purdue star Robbie Hummel continues to grow his role on the broadcast side and will call games all the way through the regional finals. Chris Webber is also back in the tournament broadcast rotation this year, bringing his experience from both the college and NBA levels.

Early round coverage will also include Candace Parker and Wally Szczerbiak as analysts through the second round, adding different perspectives from two players who spent years competing at the highest levels.

There are a few new additions as well. Brandon Gaudin joins the broadcast team as a play-by-play voice, while Jared Greenberg will work in reporting and hosting roles throughout the tournament.

With games happening almost nonstop during the opening weekend, the depth of the broadcast roster is important, and this year’s lineup is filled with recognizable names.

Studio shows loaded with basketball personalities

The studio coverage during March Madness is often just as entertaining as the games themselves.

Adam Zucker and Nate Burleson will host coverage from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York, joined by analysts Charles Barkley, Clark Kellogg and Kenny Smith. Their mix of analysis, humor and debate has become a staple of the tournament.

Over at TNT Sports Studios in Atlanta, Adam Lefkoe will lead coverage alongside Bruce Pearl, Jamal Mashburn, Jalen Rose and Seth Davis. Renee Montgomery will also make appearances during the tournament.

When the tournament reaches the Final Four in Indianapolis, longtime broadcaster Ernie Johnson will host the studio coverage for the final weekend.

Dayton tips off another March Madness

As always, the road to the national championship begins in Dayton with the First Four.

The opening games on March 17 and 18 will air on truTV. Jordan Kent, Jim Spanarkel and reporter Jenny Dell will call the first matchup on Tuesday and both Wednesday games.

The second game Tuesday will feature Brian Anderson on play-by-play alongside Charles Barkley and the always energetic Dick Vitale, with Dell reporting.

Those early games may only feature a handful of teams, but they officially kick off three weeks of non-stop college basketball.

The soundtrack of March Madness

Every NCAA Tournament produces unforgettable moments. A buzzer beater. A double overtime thriller. A mid-major pulling off a shocking upset.

When those moments happen, the calls from the broadcast booth often become part of the memory.

This year’s lineup of announcers brings together experienced voices, former stars and personalities fans already know well. From the First Four in Dayton to the championship game in Indianapolis, they will be there for every big moment along the way.
