March Madness? No, in this case we're going to do a "Munch" Madness bracket, with a selection of breakfast cereals looking to become our champion.
One thing that you can count on from FanSided are serious food takes. The people in this company make their food opinions known loud and proud, and when a recent discussion about breakfast cereals came about, we knew we had to find out which was the best.
We started with a survey of all the FanSided NCAA employees and contractors, asking for their two favorite and least favorite cereals. When the votes were tallied, any cereal who got multiple "least favorite" votes with zero "favorite" votes was automatically disqualifed.
This means Kix, Muselix, Grape-Nuts, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, and (surprisingly) Cheerios never even made it into the bracket. With our regions of Fruity and Fun, Chocolate and Peanut Butter, Old Standbys, and Who Eats This Anyway, this is how the seedings ended up.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch was the runaway number one overall seed coming out of the Old Standby region, with Crunch Berries, Reese's Puffs, and Honey Bunches of Oats rounding out the other top seeds.
The first four out did have one surprise, with Sugar Corn Pops, being edged out of the final bracket.
The seedings were then added to a bracket for some head-to-head matchups, which weill be voted on by readers on social media over the next few weeks.
It's @FanSided Munch Madness!! A breakfast cereal bracket that's just waiting to be busted. We'll be posting polls to vote on the matchups throughout #MarchMadness pic.twitter.com/8vnvosL1F5
