1. Kansas (4-0)

The early results from Lawrence have been good. Kansas is defending the top rank that it was given to begin the season. This Kansas team is filled to the brim with talent, adding even more outstanding skill players using the Transfer Portal this past offseason. There’s a lot to like about this program as a whole, with these Jayhawks trying to wind up better than last year’s 5th-place finish in the Big 12.

The win wasn’t the prettiest, but the Jayhawks improved to 5-0 with a Tuesday night win over UNC Wilmington. Kansas topped the Seahawks 84-66 in another solid home win, getting 17 points from Dajuan Harris Jr. and a 15-point, 15-rebound effort from Hunter Dickinson. The long-range shots weren’t falling, but the Jayhawks were efficient inside the arc and did enough to pull away in the second half.

This seems pretty obvious considering this team tops most national rankings, but Kansas can win the national title and beat basically any team in the nation, though that’s not to say they’re a perfect unit. They’ll hope for more consistency from that shooting outside the arc, and they don’t have a ton of time left to work out the kinks. Next week features a major throw down against Duke on Tuesday night in one of the most highly-anticipated matchups of November.

We’ve concluded another week of Top 25 rankings and we’ve broken down just where these teams stand at this point in the season. Do you agree with the teams we’ve selected and how we ranked them or did we miss out on a more deserving program?
