4. Alabama (17-3)

You probably won’t find another team that can match what Alabama brings on offense, as Nate Oats’ squad is having another legendary season. They’ve surpassed 100 times several times this season (and did it again this week) and are holding their own in a tough SEC. A great resume includes wins over Houston, Illinois, and Kentucky among others and gets a little better with each passing week.

The week started off with another of those performances, with Alabama getting a 103-87 victory over Vanderbilt. Mouhamed Dioubate led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds off the bench while Aden Holloway had 22 points and Mark Sears added 21. The Crimson Tide took care of business at home again on Saturday, winning 80-73 against LSU. Holloway scored 19 off the bench, Dioubate did well again with 14 points and 6 rebounds, and the Crimson Tide survived a less than stellar game against the Tigers.

We’ve seen plenty of action from this Alabama team that has stockpiled great performances and are firmly back on track after a struggle last week with Ole Miss. No complaints will be heard from a 6-1 start in this tough SEC, though many challenges remain in the near future. We’ll be excited to see how this offense shows up at Mississippi State next week, though it’s the back half of Alabama’s conference schedule where the real difficulty begins.
