17. Indiana (3-0)

The Hoosiers have talent and potential to make this a memorable season. The program has been in better shape in recent years, though last year was a disappointment, ending without another trip to the Big Dance. It’s certainly not do or die time for the Hoosiers quite yet, especially as this Indiana team has the talent to potential win the Big Ten.

We saw Indiana play way back on Sunday, winning convincingly in a 90-55 contest over Eastern Illinois. The Hoosiers dominated in the paint, getting 18 points and 7 rebounds from Mackenzie Mgbako and 17 points and 9 rebounds out of Oumar Ballo. Saturday brought a more challenging contest that ended similarly, with Indiana winning 87-71 against South Carolina. They took care of business at home over an SEC foe, led by Myles Rice in a 23-point performance.

Three games into the season it’s hard to find too much to complain about in Bloomington. This program is getting solid performances up and down the lineup, and we didn’t even mention Malik Reneau and his potential this year. The Hoosiers stay home throughout next week as well, though we really won’t get a true feel on this team until we see them playing some games outside of Indiana. For now, ride high on the Hoosiers until something changes.
