Houston knew the NBA Draft decisions for its guys early on, with Flemings and Cenac projected as first-round picks this month. Uzan and Sharp both have a chance of being picked in the second round as well. Who they do bring back is Tugler, a past Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year for his senior campaign.
Defense will be key for the two star guard pickups, Hadnot and Thomas. Both are quality scorers but aren’t known for defense. If they improve at that level and Gillespie’s rebounding translates at the Big 12 level, then there won’t be any drop-offs for the team.
