With Ball set to redshirt next year due to a wrist injury, that leaves just two starters back from the national title-appearing squad. But one of them is Mullins, who had a great March and is set to be one of the top sophomores in all of college basketball. He and Demary will be a quality backcourt, while County and Landrew are two key perimeter freshmen to watch.

Last year, Reed and Karaban were a top-tier frontcourt. The next core will be a sophomore duo who didn’t produce much offensively. Hines didn’t need to, as he was an elite interior defender at Seton Hall, while Khamenia is a former five-star prospect who’ll have a much larger role after leaving Duke. If he and Mullins both take leaps, UConn won’t take much of a step back at all.
