Kansas has an outside shot of having the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft with Peterson. Either way, he’s a near-guarantee of being in the top-3. The team hopes it can be the future for its star freshman and No. 1 incoming freshman prospect, Stokes, whom Kansas landed over Kentucky this offseason.
But is the rest of the roster an upgrade or downgrade compared to last year? Kinney is another five-star prospect who is set to be a lead guard, while Blyden and Parker are two mid-major transfers who are quality scorers. The concern is the transition from Bidunga to Reeves, especially on interior defense. Yet as long as Stokes is as good as advertised, Kansas should be a contender in the Big 12.
