15. St. John’s Red Storm

Likely departures

  • Zuby Ejiofor (16.3 ppg and 7.3 rpg)
  • Bryce Hopkins (13.6 ppg and 6.2 rpg)
  • Oziyah Sellers (10.3 ppg and 2.7 rpg)
  • Dillon Mitchell (8.3 ppg and 7.0 rpg)

Likely returnees

  • Joson Sanon (7.9 ppg and 2.4 rpg)
  • Dylan Darling (6.9 ppg and 2.6 apg)
  • Ruben Prey (4.3 ppg and 2.1 rpg)

Key decisions to watch

  • Ian Jackson (9.4 ppg and 2.3 rpg)

There’s a lot of production leaving the Storm this offseason, including all three key frontcourt pieces. Big East Player of the Year and All-American Ejiofor will not be easy to replace, along with Mitchell, a talented defender and skilled big man. But Prey could be primed for a breakout campaign after a strong March Madness.

There should be movement in the backcourt this offseason, with Jackson being a key piece to watch. There’s been talk that he could leave either via the draft or the portal, with Darling and Sanon likely back to give them veteran ball-handlers. Expect Coach Rick Pitino to be busy in the transfer portal again, with the focus being on the frontcourt and landing a true point guard.
