13. Iowa State Cyclones

Likely departures

  • Joshua Jefferson (16.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg, and 4.8 apg)
  • Tamin Lipsey (13.5 ppg and 5.1 apg)
  • Nate Heise (5.7 ppg and 4.0 rpg)
  • Dominick Nelson (3.7 ppg and 0.9 rpg)

Likely returnees

  • Killyan Toure (8.6 ppg and 2.3 apg)
  • Blake Buchanan (8.5 ppg and 5.7 rpg)
  • Jamarion Batemon (6.6 ppg and 1.2 rpg)
  • Dominykas Pleta (4.4 ppg and 2.3 rpg)
  • Mason Williams (13.9 ppg and 2.4 apg in 2024-25 at EWU)

Key decisions to watch

  • Milan Momcilovic (16.9 ppg and 3.1 rpg)

The Cyclones had one of the best trios in college basketball this past season, and two of them are definitely gone, with Jefferson and Lipsey being seniors. Momcilovic, arguably the best three-point shooter in the nation (49% on 7.5 attempts), has already declared for the NBA Draft and will go through the process. He still can come back for one more year, but is his stock too high to return?

There are still some key pieces coming back for Iowa State. Buchanan will anchor the paint inside, along with two incoming four-star frontcourt prospects, Jackson Kiss and Dorian Rinaldo-Komlan.

Young guards Toure and Batemon will both be breakout candidates after solid freshman campaigns. Plus, Williams, who missed all of this past season with an injury, should be back for the Cyclones.
