NCAA Basketball: Picks for Day 10 of the 2024-25 season

After a great night of College Hoops, one that made history, the Wednesday slate has a lot of games but nothing of note. There are a few games that could have upset potential but it will mostly be chalky.

Did you all enjoy the Champions Classic?  There were two great games. Kansas beat Michigan State and in the process head coach Bill Self became the most successful coach in the illustrious history of Kansas. The Jayhawks have a lot of depth and look unstoppable when they are going well. There is a reason they are top team in the country. Kentucky came back from 9 down at halftime to beat Duke. The Wildcats have a lot of athleticism and take and make a lot of threes. They will be tough.

Villanova is in an absolute freefall after losing to Saint Joseph’s. Temple beat Drexel in the other half of the Big 5 games, Georgia beat North Florida, Syracuse struggled with Colgate. Columbia and Siena remained undefeated. Ole Miss is struggling to score on a consistent basis and only beat South Alabama by 10. Finally, Oregon needed overtime to beat Portland in Eugene. The Big Ten has only lost 2 games this season.

Yesterday, I went 43-12 overall, giving me a nine-day total of 319-72 overall. There are a lot of games today, but there are not as many good games as yesterday. The Icons of the Game event kicks off today, and the HBCU All-Stars Challenge begins today as well. There are also a lot of top 25 teams in action today, and not many games have upset potential. Picks for day 10, November 13, 2024, are below.

As I mentioned, there are a lot of games today, but not many with the potential for great games or upsets. One game to keep an eye on for an upset is Hofstra and Seton Hall. The Pirates have not looked great early on, and Hofstra is the type of team that can trouble Seton Hall. North Texas and Minnesota will be the best game of the night and don’t be surprised if the Mean Green wins that game. It wouldn’t be considered an upset to me, though. Enjoy the hoops.
