NCAA Basketball: Picks for Day 29 of the 2024-25 season
By Bryan Mauro
There were not many great games yesterday, and the schedule was light compared to the rest of the last two weeks. I will say that we learned a few things, though. Nebraska might be good again. They are starting to see shots fall, and their defense has been very good. They blew out North Florida, which a lot of teams have not been able to do this year. The Ospreys already had wins against South Carolina and Georgia Tech and played Georgia very close throughout the game. Xavier got a scare from South Carolina State. That says more about South Carolina State's ability to win the MEAC than Xavier. Kansas State scored a school-record 120 points and hit 21 threes against Pine Bluff.
Yesterday, I went 18-12 in my picks, bringing my 28-day total to 931-318 overall. The sport is back to normal now, at least for a few weeks until the Christmas break comes. There are not many quality games today on this Monday, but the schedule ramps up as the week goes on, and there is conference play happening this week. Picks for day 29, December 2, 2024, are below.
Georgetown over UMBC
William & Mary over Old Dominion
Drexel over Bryant
Loyola Maryland over Coppin State
Miami Ohio over Air Force
Rhode Island over Yale
UT Arlington over Louisiana Monroe
Tulane over Southeastern Louisiana
St Thomas over Chicago State
Saint Louis over Jackson State
Colorado over Pacific
Nevada over Washington State
There is not much today as it is the calm before the storm this week. The best game of the day is the last game between Nevada and Washington State. This is a game between two likely NCAA tournament teams and two teams who both need the win for their resumes. Outside of that, there is nothing notable on the docket today. Enjoy the Hoops and your Monday.
