NCAA Basketball: Picks for Day 3 of the 2024-25 season
By Bryan Mauro
Last night was a light slate in the world of college basketball. It was a light night after a big time opening day it was only fitting that the slate for the day after was not as good. Kansas State and Texas Tech took care of their business. Arizona State won but didn’t look that impressive doing it. The rest of the games were all expected outcomes with nothing notable taking place.
I went 8-0 in my picks yesterday. That brings my two-day total to 106-18 overall. There is a much better slate of games today with the defending National Champions in action and two star freshmen at Rutgers. The nation will also see John Calipari in Arkansas and the rebuilt Indiana Hoosiers this season. Picks for Day 3, November 6, 2024, are below.
Rutgers over Wagner
Morgan State over Mercyhurst
UConn over Sacred Heart
Le Moyne over CSU Northridge
High Point over Coppin State
Notre Dame over Stonehill
Villanova over Columbia
Georgetown over Lehigh
Virginia over Campbell
Georgia Tech over West Georgia
Auburn over Vermont
Arkansas over Lipscomb
Indiana over SIU Edwardsville
South Dakota over Texas A&M Commerce
Minnesota over Oral Roberts
LSU over UL Monroe
Creighton over UTRGV
Western Illinois over Pepperdine
Boise State over Oakland
Utah State over Alcorn State
Seattle over Eastern Washington
San Diego State over UC San Diego
San Diego over Rider
The slate today is much better and there are some quality games on the docket today. Virginia gets going under interim coach Ron Sanchez after the abrupt retirement of Tony Bennett. Auburn and Vermont are the game of the day. The Catamounts are pretty good, and Auburn better not get caught sleeping. Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper are the two biggest recruits to play for Rutgers and they get underway tonight against Wagner. Enjoy the hoops today.
