6. Louisville Cardinals

After a superb first season of the Pat Kelsey era, the Louisville Cardinals have positioned themselves as a preseason consensus top-15 (or higher) worthy team in 2025-26. The Louisville Cardinals may only have inked three recruits from the transfer portal, yet it’s this trio that immediately raises Lousivlle’s ceiling as a sneaky Final Four caliber squad come November.

Louisville made early splashes in the transfer portal cycle, landing Xavier’s Ryan Conwell, Kennesaw State’s Adrian Wooley and Virginia’s Isaac McKneely. The best word to describe all three is quite simple: shooting, shooting, and more shooting. Conwell, Wooley (only a freshman last season), and McKneely shot 40% or better from three last season and were among the top shooters in their respective conferences.

Louisville shot over 28 threes per game last season but was middle-of-the-pack in three-point percentage, shooting just 32.8% from behind the arc. That should change in an instant next season, making the Cardinals a clear top-ten-worthy transfer portal class this offseason.
