1. Michigan Wolveriens
Dusty May and the Michigan Wolverines take home the gold for the top transfer portal class in the country after projected first-rounder Yaxel Lendeborg opted to withdraw his name from the 2025 NBA Draft and head to Ann Arbor for his final season in college.
Lendeborg is a double-double machine, averaging 17.7 PPG, 11.7 RPG, 4.2 APG and almost two blocks per game for the Blazers last season. The 6-foot-9 forward can do it all -- on both ends of the floor --and expects to be among the best players in the Big Ten next season.
In addition, Illinois transfer Morez Johnson Jr. joins the fold after a strong freshman campaign in Champaign. While Johnson Jr. was behind Tomislav Ivisic in the depth chart last season, he’s just scratching the surface of his potential. Johnson Jr. is a terrorizing, traditional back-to-the-basket big. He is efficient at the rim and is a versatile defender in the frontcourt. He's everything a coach would want in a big.
Meanwhile, there’s another frontcourt addition that deserves his flowers: UCLA transfer Aday Mara. The 7-foot-3 big saw inconsistent playing time last season but still managed to put up some monster outings in Westwood. Dusty May is no stranger to playing two bigs together at the same time -- and having them both flourish. He will do so again this season.
In the backcourt, the Wolverines will welcome in North Carolina transfer Elliot Cadeau. As a true floor general, Cadeau averaged 6.2 APG for the Tar Heels, including six double-digit assist outings. He’s an elite playmaker in transition, which should bode well for a team that saw nearly 30% of their points come from transition, according to Hoop Math. Inconsistent shooting hurt his overall ceiling last season, but there’s no denying the upside in Cadeau’s game.
