There’s another top-40 prospect available from the 2025 college basketball recruiting class, as Niko Bundalo has de-committed from the Washington Huskies. He’s a consensus four-star big man (some sites have him in the 5-star range), known for being a skilled all-around offensive threat.
The power forward can score inside and out, with a high ceiling at the college level. He had a list of eight options in the past, even though Bundalo didn’t pick any of them. Some notable teams could still use a power forward as we get into May.
These are some teams to watch potentially for Bundalo.
Georgetown Hoyas
The Hoyas had landed Georgia Tech forward transfer Duncan Powell before he ultimately de-committed and went to Providence. This leaves an open hole at power forward. Whether freshman star center Thomas Sorber returns from the NBA Draft or not, Georgetown could use someone like Dundalo to get the team back into the NCAA Tournament mix.
Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas doesn’t have four-year starting forward KJ Adams, and there isn’t a proven option for them on the roster. Top-40 incoming freshman Bryson Tiller will get minutes, but will the team look to add another frontcourt piece for next season? Bundalo would be a high-profile add after losing so much roster production this offseason.
Pittsburgh Panthers
Bundalo is originally from Uniontown, Ohio, making Pittsburgh a fairly close option. They were one of the original contenders, and right now, don’t have a true power forward in the rotation, unless South Alabama transfer Barry Dunning. He’d get a large role with the program and could be a focal point of the team.
Texas Longhorns
New Coach Sean Miller did bring with him combo forward Dailyn Swain over from Xavier, and he very well could start at the four-spot. But frontcourt depth is the biggest weakness on the roster so they could use another forward, one who can space the floor, such as Bundalo.
Villanova Wildcats
While the backcourt has been in the spotlight at Villanova and Coach Kevin Willard’s roster building, the frontcourt could still use work. The Wildcats landed Grand Canyon transfer big Duke Brennan, who can play the four and five-spots. However, there isn’t a true four-man on the roster, so Bundalo can get a large role for the Big East program. In fact, the top-30 prospect could be the focal point out of the gate.
