One of the later key players to enter the transfer portal is Andrej Stojakovic, a 6’7 wing and former top-30 prospect. After one year at Stanford, he transferred to Cal, where he broke out this past season as an All-ACC caliber player. Stojakovic averaged 17.9 ppg, shooting 43% from the field and scoring 56 points in two games in the conference tournament.

Stojakovic entered the transfer portal, where many teams have shown interest. According to Joe Tipton of On3sports, one team has emerged as a favorite, while four others are reportedly in the mix.

Here’s a look at the five teams potentially in the running, including possible fits.

Florida

With Denzel Aberdeen opting to transfer to Kentucky, the Gators ' backcourt has gone from one of the deepest to one with just Princeton transfer Xaivian Lee as the lone proven playmaker. Even if the Gators play three forwards, Stojakovic could play the two-spot to create one of the tallest lineups in all of college basketball. And playing for the defending national champs has plenty of positives for the former Cal wing.

Gonzaga

Stojakovic has already played in two different conferences on the West Coast. Why not a third in the WCC? It may be a step down in competition, but an upgrade in the program's quality, with the Bulldogs being one of the best programs in college basketball. They need a quality scorer to replace Khalif Battle on the wings, and Stojakovic would be part of a top-15 team next year.

Illinois

The Illini have been viewed as the favorites to land the sophomore wing, getting a recent visit. They’ve landed a couple of European prospects in the backcourt and frontcourt, but the wings are still open after losing both Tre White and Will Riley. Stojakovic would slide right into the lineup and be the most proven scorer on the roster for next season.

North Carolina

The news of freshman wing Drake Powell has left an open hole for the Tar Heels. West Virginia transfer Johnahan Powell isn’t the same kind of scorer, and with Elliot Cadeau gone, there’s a need for someone who can create their own offense, such as Stojakovic. He’d be able to stay in the ACC and could arguably be the focal point of the blue blood program.

USC

The Trojans have landed several forwards to load up again in the frontcourt. However, the key moves recently made were in the backcourt, gaining Maryland transfer Rodney Rice, while losing last year’s star guard, Desmond Claude. Stojakovic can play the two or the three with the Trojans and get to stay out west, but for a potentially better team.
