The JUCO pipeline has plenty of talent to offer D-I NCAA Basketball. And one of the top class of 2025 players to watch is Xavier Edmonds, a 6'9 forward from Salt Lake Community College. He's a skilled frontcourt player who can score in a variety of ways and has garnered a ton of interest from the power conference programs.

Now, Edmonds sis down to three notable programs, including couple whose head coaches are known for recruiting former JUCO stars. Here's a closer look at how he would fit with each of the three contenders.

Oregon Ducks

Coach Dana Altman is one of the few high-major coaches who consistently land JUCO transfers, including past Pac-12 Player of the Year winner Chris Duarte. Frontcourt is an area of need in the 2025 class, with transfers Supreme Cook and Brandon Angel being seniors. Altman's familiarity with players like Edmonds could make them a real contender in this sweepstakes.

USC Trojans

New Coach Eric Musselman doesn't have much of a history with JUCO transfers but a USC roster that features six frontcourt seniors, he's clearly scouring every where for talent. Edmonds is the kind of athletic forward that has done well in his systems in the past so this makes sense it terms of player-coach fit. Plus, playing in Los Angeles and in the Big Ten is a good pair of selling points too.

TCU Horned Frogs

TCU's roster is different from the other two in that outside of transfer Trazarien White, the rest of the projected frontcourt rotation aren't seniors. But there's not a lot of depth in terms of size that can score and rebound so a case can be made that they need Edmonds as much as the other two options.

All three teams involved have quality head coaches who have won in the past and the Big 12 and Big Ten are two of the top conferences in NCAA Basketball. This is a scenario where all three makes sense for the JUCO transfer. So who will get the commitment in the end?
