1. Duke (25-2)

This has turned into another one of those remarkable seasons at Duke and it’s hard to argue against that. The Blue Devils have been remarkable throughout a year which includes wins over Arkansas, Florida, Michigan State, and a host of other teams. Their two losses were by a combined four points and both came in the final moments, and they truly proved that they belonged this week.

We’re not specifically talking about Monday, but their 101-64 win over Syracuse still felt pretty good. Cameron Boozer unsurprisingly stood out with 22 points and 12 rebounds while Isaiah Evans put up 21 points. What really stood out was Saturday’s action in Washington DC where the Blue Devils took down top-seeded Michigan 68-63. Boozer had 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists and truly starred on the national stage.

The record is outstanding and the results are clear, but Duke has really impressed with their defense too. They did incredible work limiting the Wolverines in that incredible win and with Boozer leading the charge have as good a shot as any team at cutting down the nets in April. With an ACC title in their sights, they’ll focus on Notre Dame and Virginia in the days to come.

We’ve gotten through seven more days of college hoops and the action shows no signs of slowing down. The resulting basketball action has led to some notable changes to our Top 25, especially after an incredible Saturday. Do you think there are teams we’ve missed the mark on or perhaps others that we’re ranking too highly this week?
