The days truly are passing rapidly as this college basketball season spirals towards its conclusion. We’re still not yet at the great postseason and March Madness, but we’re halfway through February and a lot of basketball has already been played. We’re not ready to make those conclusions, but we know a lot about teams and players based on months of action.
We’re getting through the tough parts of many team’s schedules as conference play has really come to a head. There’s only a few weeks left in the regular season for programs to really prove what they’re made of and time is running out for quite a few. On the other hand, some teams are really standing out and taking advantage of these opportunities during these important stretches.
Obviously, February alone does not make a season and we’ve seen some incredible work across that entire season. We’ve seen programs come out of nowhere and really astonish on the national stage. On the opposite hand, there have been disappointments and shortcomings, while other teams have been ravaged by injuries or other issues. Basketball isn’t fair on or off the court and it’s all about who can shine brightest when it matters most.
Again, our focus is on those teams shining brightest, and we’re talking both about all season long and in the recent weeks. It’s the latest update to our Top 25 rankings and we’re certainly taking into account hot teams and great teams alike.
