21. Alabama (18-7)

Tested against perhaps the nation’s toughest schedule, Alabama has had their bumps this season and certainly that brief stint with Charles Bediako won’t soon be forgotten. Regardless, the Crimson Tide have some nice wins over the likes of Illinois and St. John’s and have used their recent play to get right back into the thick of the SEC race. A rough showing at Florida two weeks ago has been followed up with their latest win streak.

That aforementioned streak continued Wednesday with a 93-74 road win at Ole Miss. Latrell Wrightsell led the scoring with 21 points off the bench while Labaron Philon Jr. added his usual 18-point performance over those Rebels. The Crimson Tide continued swimmingly on Saturday, securing an 89-75 win against South Carolina. Aden Holloway put up 20 points while Philon and Wrightsell were good for 19 points apiece this time around.

Alabama recently fell out of the national rankings and their decision to play Bediako has seen them fall out of favor with a number of people. Regardless, we’ve kept our eye on the Crimson Tide and like the offensive fireworks that this team continues to put up in a strong SEC. We’ll see if they can keep that up against a very strong Arkansas team later this week.
