11. Texas Tech (22-7)

In a perfect world, Texas Tech would have JT Toppin still starring for their team, but his season-ending injury really hurts. That loss came during a tough game at Arizona State a few weeks ago, forcing the Red Raiders to learn how to survive in his absence. That came just a few days after a fantastic win at Arizona, and despite that slump versus the Sun Devils, they’ve largely accomplished that feat with surprising results.

The Red Raiders kicked off this week against a Cincinnati team that was feeling good, but quickly sent the Bearcats packing in an 80-68 win. Christian Anderson took control with 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists and is playing like the superstar that this program needs right now. If you thought that was great, then Saturday’s result was a shocker, as the Red Raiders went to Iowa State and upset the Cyclones 82-73. Donovan Atwell had 18 points, Anderson had 14 points and 7 assists, and Texas Tech delivered the first road win in Ames for any team this season.

Texas Tech outshot, outrebounded, and outworked Iowa State this weekend and are proving that their season didn’t just end when Toppin went down. This team is still extremely talented and will make a difference in these important games in the stretch run. Anderson leads a powerful lineup that’s looking to end the regular season on a high note, hosting TCU before heading up to BYU.
