25. Wisconsin (14-5)
When at their worst, Wisconsin has really struggled this season and hasn’t looked anything at all like a contender. They were blown out by BYU in mid-November and all of their losses have been by double-figures, including rough efforts in conference losses to Nebraska and Purdue. However, the Badgers have spent these last few weeks turning things around, most notably with that upset win at Michigan two weeks ago.
Wisconsin grabbed another road victory this week in their only action, using a very dominant opening half to secure a 98-71 win at Penn State. John Blackwell and Braeden Carrington each had 17 points apiece while the Badgers built an enormous lead and won easily. Nolan Winter added a double-double in the program’s fifth straight win.
A few weeks ago Wisconsin was really struggling to shoot the ball, which led to some of those lopsided losses. The recent work on offense has been night and day and allowed this recent hot streak from a Wisconsin team now an admirable 6-2 in Big Ten play. With their recent work, Wisconsin puts themselves in a great position, as the Badgers have their next three games all at home, beginning Sunday with USC in town.
