25. Texas A&M (17-4)

This is year one for Bucky McMillan and while it didn’t start off on the right foot, it’s hard to imagine things going much better than they currently are. The Aggies did have a few tough showings early in league play, but since mid-November this team has been really good. Their only losses since that point have been in overtime against SMU and Tennessee while also stockpiling very solid wins in SEC play.

The lone contest of the past week was a solid ending to January as Texas A&M won 92-77 at Georgia. Rashaun Agee put up 18 points and 15 rebounds while Ali Dibba and Marcus Hill contributed 15 points apiece in the win. The Aggies picked up another road win and are certainly starting to grab much deserved attention.

Surprisingly, Texas A&M currently sits atop the SEC standings with their 7-1 record. That mark includes very impressive road wins at Auburn and Texas even before this week as the Aggies have gotten off to a tremendous start in the conference season. The offense looks night and day compared to tough losses to Oklahoma State and UCF two and a half months ago, but big challenges beckon. The Aggies get to prove they belong with next week’s showdowns against Alabama and Florida.
