15. Nebraska (11-0)

While it’s true that Nebraska hasn’t played the world’s most challenging schedule, they’ve clearly shown something to be undefeated at this point in the season. The Cornhuskers have shown signs of brilliance in recent years under Fred Hoiberg but it looks like he has his best team yet in Lincoln and perhaps a team that can make serious noise not just in the Big Ten but beyond that.

There wasn’t another opportunity to increase that perfect start, as Nebraska didn’t play a game this last week. We’re still reflecting on their most recent performance, an impressive road win at Illinois helped along by a 3-pointer right before the buzzer from Jamarques Lawrence. This comes just days after a 30-point win over Wisconsin, giving Nebraska quite the 2-0 start to Big Ten play.

Throw in wins over Creighton, Oklahoma, and Kansas State and people are starting to believe in these Cornhuskers. The offense has been at an impressive level recently and this team truly does believe that they can be a historic group, perhaps even getting the first ever NCAA Tournament win in program history. Long before we can consider that, there are just a few more nonconference games left, though this team shouldn’t be challenged by North Dakota on Sunday.
