3. Duke (10-0)

There’s no question that this Duke team has been tested several times in the opening weeks of the season, but what’s become clear is that these Blue Devils can answer these tests. Their perfect start to the season has included several ranked wins, and a plethora of victories away from home. He entered the season with heightened expectations, but freshman Cameron Boozer has really lived up to the billing ten games into what should be a brief college career.

However, the Blue Devils were another team that wasn’t on the court at all last week, though we’re still in awe of their recent week. Each of their last three victories have been over ranked foes, beating Arkansas on Thanksgiving before surviving tough battles against Florida and Michigan State the week before last. Boozer and company keep getting enough to get the job done and this offense has been on another level.

Despite the unblemished record, these Blue Devils are still far from perfect and Jon Scheyer himself will tell you that there’s plenty of work left in the months ahead. This defense has been inspirational in recent weeks in those big matchups and Duke will need even more of that to snatch another ACC title. We’ll see them back on the court against Lipscomb this coming Tuesday before a major battle against Texas Tech over the weekend in New York City.
