2023-24 Big East Basketball power rankings ahead of conference play

11. DePaul Blue Demons
Coach Tony Stubblefield and co. have had a rough go at it to kick off the season with a 2-8 record in nonconference play. This has been one of the darker times for this program over the past few years, and the rough stretch does not appear to be ending anytime soon.
This is a transfer-heavy team led by former South Carolina guard Chico Carter Jr. who puts up 14 points per game. This team lacks a lot of talent compared to the rest of the conference though, and their offense has not been impressive at all this season.
They are still a tough and hard-nosed Big East team, but they have not been able to put it together to pick up wins in non-conference play. They have found a bit of momentum after a win over Louisville, and they also kept it within reach of a ranked Northwestern team, but the Big East will be challenging.
This team may win a handful of games in this conference, but given how strong the Big East is this season it is going to be tough for them to find ways to win. It is not time to evaluate their place in the conference, but this will be a rough year for the Blue Demons.
